Fergie

I’m boycotting the internet today in fear of seeing the words ‘José’ and ‘United’ used in the same sentence. I always thought I’d celebrate the day Fergie finally decided to bow out and end his reign of incessant gum chewing and pedantic watch tapping, but seeing as it sets United up for an almighty coup de grâce to Chelsea, by hijacking the Special One’s potential move home, it could end up being a bitter sweet day on the football calendar.

Clearing out my old house back in my hometown as mother is downsizing. I’m by no means a sentimental person but items like this remind me of better times.

I don’t think I’ve ever been at a game where everyone was glued to the big screen keeping an eye on results elsewhere. Everyone at the Bridge celebrated this moment as if we were there and happening to our team. Unbelievable.

I love technology. Whenever I spent a weekend in my hometown, I’d always plan my travels back home to London around what games were on and on a big Super Sundays like this one, I’d always have to miss either the start or end of one of the games as the break between the games are never quite long enough for me to make the journey back I’m time for the second game. Not anymore.

As highly as I rate Phil Jones, I can only see England winning the Euros as something that would top this as my favourite sporting moment of 2012.

Other than seeing good quality football, the luxury of having a season ticket down the Bridge is the option of a pre match venison sausage roll.

Chelsea Girl

I fully support Villas Boas’ tactic of keeping the players on the bench happy.

Blue Blood

Even though Palace are my life, being the only non Chelsea member of my family, I think this feeling of unease I’ve experienced throughout the day is fully justifiable.
