My mother returned home yesterday after a month in Canada with her dying mother. Seeing as she spent most of that month in a hospital, she was cut off from what was going on with the rest of the world. When bringing up to speed last night, it was Fergie’s retirement that ended up being the most discussed topic. My mother rules.
WEMBLEY, WEMBLEY!!! WE’RE THE FAMOUS CRYSTAL PALACE AND WE’RE GOING TO WEMBLEY. WEMBLEY!!
That lad must have been born offside.
I’m boycotting the internet today in fear of seeing the words ‘José’ and ‘United’ used in the same sentence. I always thought I’d celebrate the day Fergie finally decided to bow out and end his reign of incessant gum chewing and pedantic watch tapping, but seeing as it sets United up for an almighty coup de grâce to Chelsea, by hijacking the Special One’s potential move home, it could end up being a bitter sweet day on the football calendar.
