I’ve never understood why players feel the need to take off their shirts after they’ve scored, especially when it always results in them getting booked, but after that second goal went in, this came straight off. What a night.

Sixth time I’ve had to endure the Play Offs. It doesn’t get easier. I feel sick.

Phew. We seem to enjoy a bit of last day of the season drama. Brighton in the Play Offs. Massive two games ahead. Diary is being cleared.

As predicted, very little sleep was had last night. We’ve been to five Play Offs in my lifetime, with three finals and two wins, and I’m more anxious now then I was ever was during any of those, and for anyone who’s ever been to the Play Offs, knows that’s saying something. Come 3:00pm, if that result doesn’t say a Palace win or a draw, I don’t think you guys will be seeing me for a while. 

So four restless nights ahead.

For some unknown reason, this post, that I originally submitted last night, didn’t go through. I should probably be taking this as a sign from Tumblr that doing so will be a jinx in what has so far been a delicious season, but in my twenty five years I’ve only ever been in this situation a couple of times so I don’t care, I’m going to enjoy it as much as possible. WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE, SAY WE ARE TOP THE LEAGUE.

Just as things were going so well….To be honest, I’m not that disappointed by Dougie leaving. Not to take too much away, but I think his legacy was deflecting the praise we’re currently receiving away from the players who are the ones who actually deserve it. He will always feature on a very short and prestigious list of players whose name I got on the back of my shirt. It took something special for me not to go for the  recognized GIB 9.
