Biutiful
Biutiful is exactly what it say it is. It’s beautiful. It’s beautiful but in a very dark and torturing way. For around two and a half hours, González Iñárritu forces Javier Bardem’s shattered character on the audience so powerfully that instead of yearning for a break, you slowly start to feel his declining into the abyss. It’s risky film making but here it seems to work so well.
